教室地點-The location of the classroom

今天有一位趙先生與我約定前來道場試上一堂課程,他在多次迷失方向後,終於在接近中午的時候到達教室門口,看來,我網路上的地圖對於沒有來過本教室的人來說是十分困難找到的,這可是個大問題,所以我趕緊製作新的地圖放到招生網頁上去,希望大家能順利到達教室。
Mr. Chao requested to have a free class today, he was late for the class after several times of missing direction. He arrived the classroom at about noon. That's a big issue for me. It looks like people cannot understand the map I attached before. Here is the new map for you.

學弟的消息-News from a friend

在新竹教拳的李師兄昨天和我閒聊時談到向益,他是我中央大學太極拳外加電機系的學弟,而聊到他的主要原因是他現在和李師兄學習宗岳門太極拳。原來真正想學到太極拳內在深層功夫的人,都是不會滿足於套拳的修煉的,大家會尋師訪友,總是會找到一個能精進自己的方法,在此,預祝向益學拳順利,成功的學到想學到的。
Mr. Lee, who teaches ZongYue Taichi in Hsinchu, told me that one person who learns Taichi with him is Xiang-Yi. Oh....my.... Xiang-Yi is a friend I met in Taichi club in NCU. It's really a good news for me. That means when a person really want to realize the true Taichiquan he will never stop try to find out another way to practice besides Taichiquan Form.
Here I wish Xiang-Yi can learn what he want to learn and practice continually.

5/24的練習: practice on 5/24

這週仍是練習小纏發勁,這個練習說難不難,說容易也真的不是那麼簡單,總是椿法要練到身上,能組合起來,才能在出手時產生威力,以下附上廖師兄和陳師兄本週練習的成果。
We are still focus on "Small Twist Skill" this week. This skill is not so hard to practice, but it need people to combine all the parts we learned in the basic form. The basic form is to learn how to adjust our badies for the better way of using power.

名片-Business Card

終於,設計好的名片做出來了,每次有人詢問,我總是沒法子給名片,用講的也不容易寫好網址,現在這個問題終於解決了,到時再有人詢問相關事宜,我就可以給名片囉!

Finally, the business card is ready. Before that, everytime when people ask me question about Taichi (Taiji), I can't provide my business card for them. It's hard to ask people remember the web-site and other contact way without business card.
Now, I can solve this problem by giving people business card!

5/17的練習: practice on 5/17

小纏發勁是多數人喜好做為功力顯現的一個指標 ,要求以動作不停頓,動作如行雲流水,切記小纏求直,大纏求曲。影片中廖師兄為第一次練習,尚無法做到動作不停頓就發人出去的情形,我相信,之後他將會大幅改善這個情況。
"Small Twist Skill" is a good way for most people to show how good they are. The key here is "Do not stop the motion". "Small Twist Skill" is focus on stright, and "Grand Twist Skill" is focus on curve.
We will record some video tape to show the different.
The below video is Mr.Liao's first practice. We believe that can be improved soon. Please watch new video a few weeks later.

5/10的練習: practice on 5/10

今天上課的重點在片旋,每個門派都有自己練習外三合的方法,片旋是宗岳門練習外三合最基本也是重要的功法,其要點在於手起腳起,手落腳落。

Today's key movement is "Pian Xuan". Every martial art school has its own way to practice 3 combinations outside. "Pian Xuan" is the way ZongYueMen practice.

防身- Self-defense

大家都說,練武可以防身,卻不知道防身其實是一個非常重要的觀念,在練武前,就應該要具備的。什麼是防身呢?保護自身(含周遭所有人等)以避免危害就可稱為防身。People say that martial art can protect our life, however most people don't know self-defense is a very important concept before people learning martial art.
What is "Self-defense"? Self-defense (including other people) is to avoid the damage.

舉凡下雨撐傘、走斑馬線過馬路、走人行道通行等等,都是防身的觀念,不去危險機率大的地方,發生危險的機會也將相對少很多 ,也就是孔子所說"危城不入、亂邦不居"的概念。
For example, using the umbrella in a rainning day, and walking across the street by crosswalk. Do not go to a damger place then we can live safely. Just like Confucius said "do not get into dangerous city, and do not live in a dangerous country".

如果學了武術之後,不停的進出危險場所,沒事好勇鬥狠,早晚要出事的,到時,是要怪罪武術不好還是自己沒學好,其實,是根本的觀念出了問題,武術是在危急時救命用的,不是把救命的本領實際拿去危險的地方實際練習,演習也不會派兵到敵對國家邊境去讓對方有機會開火,一開火,演習就不是演習而是戰爭了。
If people learn martial art and keep stay in dangerous place to try to fight with other people, they would get hurt with no doubt. When they get hurt, they would complain the martial art is not so good for self-defense or they still need more practice. Actually, the root caouse is their main concept of self-defense.

防身也是如此,沒用上時學的是武術,當用上時就可能變成生死搏鬥,平時應該做的是在家或道館多練習,生活中少去那些相對危險的地方,這樣才是真正的防身及養身。
Self-defense is to keep practice martial art to keep our bodies healthy, and when we need to use that to protect our life, we will do our best as what we practice. But, please keep away from the dangerous place to learn the true self-defense.

返身大纏是一個相當複雜且重要的式子,這次不僅要再次的練習,且還加上有外力推進時引勁落空的訓練。
"Turn-back Body Grand Twist Skill" is a complex and important practice. Our practice today is not only for body movement but also for opponent push to have chance for hollowing the power.

這段影片是由我和廖師兄示範的 ,其中快和慢動作是"沒"有差別的,影片中所說有差別的是小弟當時口誤啦!
This video is performed by Mr. Liao and myself.
The movement is no difference with slow or fast speed.
